Energy Wise Lighting makes a great product. Their lights are brighter than
my old metal halides. The sensors turn the fixtures on and
off instantly. There is no more waiting for the lights to
come on and no more loud buzzing.

We are quite pleased with the results of the lighting retrofit
done with the help of Energy Wise Lighting. The energy cost
savings were even greater than our electric utility projected
(by about 30%, based on two months' results). The fact that
Energy Wise processed the paperwork for the utility rebates
and the State Tax Credit made the process go smoothly with
a minimum of administrative effort on our part.

In January of 2003 we installed 184 four lamp T5 high output
fluorescent light fixtures and 2 two lamp T5 high output fluorescent
light fixtures from Energy Wise Lighting, Inc. in our metal
fabrication plant. We also retrofitted 8 four lamp T12's to
T8's. We purchased the fixtures from Energy Wise Lighting,
Inc. They handled all the paperwork for the utility rebates
and state tax credits, which was very convenient for us.
Eugene Water and Electric Board estimated our annual savings
at $8,792 per year from the new lights. Through the first
three months after they were installed, February, March, and
April, our electric bills dropped $6,264.71. At the current
rate of savings, our new lights will save us almost three
times as much as our utility said they would. We believe much
of the additional savings are from the sensors which work
wonderfully. At night, we know when someone is in an area
where they don't belong. The sensors turn on and act as automatic
security agents.
The colors of our powder coated products are truer under the
new Energy Wise lights, and visibility is much better. The
old metal halides lost a lot of light output over time. We
haven't noticed any reduction of light output from the new
lights and have not had any ballast or lamp failures.
We heartily recommend Energy Wise Lighting. They manufacture
only energy efficient lights. It is rare these days when a
company or product out performs promises. In this case both
the company and the product over delivered on quality and
energy savings.

In accordance with our discussion earlier this week, I commend
your company as a reliable contractor for energy efficient
technology development and application. Certainly our Overseas
Buildings Operation Office concurs with this commendation
of competency.
The Office of Facility Management Services thanks you for
putting the Department in the forefront of agencies supporting
the President's Energy Plan through the accomplishment of
Energy Savings Performance Contracts with your firm. At the
Beltsville Information Management Center. Beltsville, MD.
and the National Foreign Affairs Training Center, Arlington,
VA your efforts resulted in the installation of state-of-the-art
electronic lighting and motor speed drives for not only great
economic savings to the Government, but also for continued
service and reliability due to diligent installation. The
Department commends your diligence to "get it right"
without a need for change order cost.
It's our further observation that your capability to figure
out and configure electronics of proprietary systems to work
satisfactorily with each other's systems supports the competency
of your firm and mechanics.
In closing, good luck with your future ventures. Keep us abreast
of future energy efficient technology.
Sincerely yours,
Richard T. Arthurs

In late March of this year we replaced our existing 460 watt
metal halide lights with new Energy Wise four lamp T5's in
all of our maintenance and storage areas. We were primarily
interested in the energy savings, since we are a rural electric
utility, and know quite well that we all face the prospect
of higher electric costs in the future.
What became a pleasant surprise, however, was the better quality
of Iight from the Energy Wise fixtures. Even though they only
use half the energy, our work areas were quite a bit brighter.
We have had no ballast or lamp failures to date. Another instantly
noticeable improvement was the silent operation of the new
T5's. They're quiet! The old metal halides buzzed constantly
and they took forever to come on. Our new fixtures turn on
instantly.
As a utility responsible for providing power to many homes
and businesses in Oregon, we would not hesitate to recommend
the T5HO technology or Energy Wise Lighting to our customers
or anyone else interested in lower utility bills and a quality
product.
Sincerely,
